How To Uninstall libstdc++6 On Debian 9

To uninstall libstdc++6 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libstdc++6

linuxGNU Standard C++ Library v3libs6.3.0-18
sudo apt-get remove libstdc++6

This will remove just the libstdc++6 package itself.

Uninstall libstdc++6 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libstdc++6

This will remove the libstdc++6 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libstdc++6 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libstdc++6

Or similarly, like this libstdc++6

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libstdc++6
