How To Uninstall mailagent On Debian 9

To uninstall mailagent just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mailagent

automatic mail-processing tool and filterDebian 9.0mail1:3.1-81-4+b1
sudo apt-get remove mailagent

This will remove just the mailagent package itself.

Uninstall mailagent and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mailagent

This will remove the mailagent package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mailagent then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mailagent

Or similarly, like this mailagent

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mailagent
