How To Uninstall maildir-utils-extra On Debian 9

To uninstall maildir-utils-extra just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just maildir-utils-extra

Extra utilities for maildir-utilsDebian 9.0mail0.9.18-1
sudo apt-get remove maildir-utils-extra

This will remove just the maildir-utils-extra package itself.

Uninstall maildir-utils-extra and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove maildir-utils-extra

This will remove the maildir-utils-extra package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for maildir-utils-extra then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge maildir-utils-extra

Or similarly, like this maildir-utils-extra

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove maildir-utils-extra
