How To Uninstall maildrop On Debian 9

To uninstall maildrop just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just maildrop

mail delivery agent with filtering abilitiesDebian 9.0mail2.8.4-2
sudo apt-get remove maildrop

This will remove just the maildrop package itself.

Uninstall maildrop and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove maildrop

This will remove the maildrop package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for maildrop then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge maildrop

Or similarly, like this maildrop

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove maildrop
