How To Uninstall mailplate On Debian 9

To uninstall mailplate just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mailplate

reformat mail drafts according to templatesDebian 9.0mail0.2-1
sudo apt-get remove mailplate

This will remove just the mailplate package itself.

Uninstall mailplate and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mailplate

This will remove the mailplate package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mailplate then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mailplate

Or similarly, like this mailplate

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mailplate
