How To Uninstall mailsync On Debian 9

To uninstall mailsync just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mailsync

Synchronize IMAP mailboxesDebian 9.0mail5.2.2-3.1+b1
sudo apt-get remove mailsync

This will remove just the mailsync package itself.

Uninstall mailsync and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mailsync

This will remove the mailsync package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mailsync then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mailsync

Or similarly, like this mailsync

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mailsync
