How To Uninstall mailutils-comsatd On Debian 9

To uninstall mailutils-comsatd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mailutils-comsatd

GNU mailutils-based comsatd daemonDebian 9.0net1:3.1.1-1
sudo apt-get remove mailutils-comsatd

This will remove just the mailutils-comsatd package itself.

Uninstall mailutils-comsatd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mailutils-comsatd

This will remove the mailutils-comsatd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mailutils-comsatd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mailutils-comsatd

Or similarly, like this mailutils-comsatd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mailutils-comsatd
