How To Uninstall makedumpfile On Debian 9

To uninstall makedumpfile just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just makedumpfile

VMcore extraction toolDebian 9.0devel1:1.6.1-1
sudo apt-get remove makedumpfile

This will remove just the makedumpfile package itself.

Uninstall makedumpfile and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove makedumpfile

This will remove the makedumpfile package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for makedumpfile then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge makedumpfile

Or similarly, like this makedumpfile

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove makedumpfile
