How To Uninstall mapserver-bin On Debian 9

To uninstall mapserver-bin just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mapserver-bin

MapServer utilitiesDebian 9.0misc7.0.4-2
sudo apt-get remove mapserver-bin

This will remove just the mapserver-bin package itself.

Uninstall mapserver-bin and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mapserver-bin

This will remove the mapserver-bin package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mapserver-bin then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mapserver-bin

Or similarly, like this mapserver-bin

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mapserver-bin
