How To Uninstall mariadb-plugin-mroonga On Debian 9

To uninstall mariadb-plugin-mroonga just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mariadb-plugin-mroonga

Mroonga storage engine for MariaDBDebian 9.0database10.1.23-9+deb9u1
sudo apt-get remove mariadb-plugin-mroonga

This will remove just the mariadb-plugin-mroonga package itself.

Uninstall mariadb-plugin-mroonga and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mariadb-plugin-mroonga

This will remove the mariadb-plugin-mroonga package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mariadb-plugin-mroonga then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mariadb-plugin-mroonga

Or similarly, like this mariadb-plugin-mroonga

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mariadb-plugin-mroonga
