How To Uninstall mate-system-monitor On Debian 9

To uninstall mate-system-monitor just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mate-system-monitor

Process viewer and system resource monitor for MATEDebian 9.0x111.16.0-2
sudo apt-get remove mate-system-monitor

This will remove just the mate-system-monitor package itself.

Uninstall mate-system-monitor and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mate-system-monitor

This will remove the mate-system-monitor package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mate-system-monitor then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mate-system-monitor

Or similarly, like this mate-system-monitor

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mate-system-monitor
