How To Uninstall mbr On Debian 9

To uninstall mbr just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mbr

Master Boot Record for IBM-PC compatible computers.Debian 9.0admin1.1.11-5.1
sudo apt-get remove mbr

This will remove just the mbr package itself.

Uninstall mbr and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mbr

This will remove the mbr package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mbr then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mbr

Or similarly, like this mbr

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mbr
