How To Uninstall mc-data On Debian 9

To uninstall mc-data just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mc-data

Midnight Commander - a powerful file manager -- data filesDebian 9.0utils3:4.8.18-1
sudo apt-get remove mc-data

This will remove just the mc-data package itself.

Uninstall mc-data and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mc-data

This will remove the mc-data package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mc-data then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mc-data

Or similarly, like this mc-data

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mc-data
