How To Uninstall mkalias On Debian 9

To uninstall mkalias just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mkalias

Bash alias management to facilitate alias creationDebian 9.0ruby1.0.10-2
sudo apt-get remove mkalias

This will remove just the mkalias package itself.

Uninstall mkalias and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mkalias

This will remove the mkalias package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mkalias then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mkalias

Or similarly, like this mkalias

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mkalias
