How To Uninstall mon-contrib On Debian 9

To uninstall mon-contrib just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mon-contrib

contributed tools, monitors and alert for monDebian 9.0admin1.0+dfsg-3+nmu1
sudo apt-get remove mon-contrib

This will remove just the mon-contrib package itself.

Uninstall mon-contrib and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mon-contrib

This will remove the mon-contrib package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mon-contrib then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mon-contrib

Or similarly, like this mon-contrib

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mon-contrib
