How To Uninstall mon On Debian 9

To uninstall mon just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mon

monitor hosts/services/whatever and alert about problemsDebian 9.0admin1.2.0-9+nmu4
sudo apt-get remove mon

This will remove just the mon package itself.

Uninstall mon and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mon

This will remove the mon package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mon then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mon

Or similarly, like this mon

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mon
