How To Uninstall mono-4.0-gac On Debian 9

To uninstall mono-4.0-gac just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mono-4.0-gac

Mono GAC tool (for CLI 4.0)Debian 9.0cli-mono4.6.2.7+dfsg-1
sudo apt-get remove mono-4.0-gac

This will remove just the mono-4.0-gac package itself.

Uninstall mono-4.0-gac and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mono-4.0-gac

This will remove the mono-4.0-gac package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mono-4.0-gac then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mono-4.0-gac

Or similarly, like this mono-4.0-gac

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mono-4.0-gac
