How To Uninstall mono-dbg On Debian 9

To uninstall mono-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mono-dbg

Mono debugging symbolsDebian 9.0debug4.6.2.7+dfsg-1
sudo apt-get remove mono-dbg

This will remove just the mono-dbg package itself.

Uninstall mono-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mono-dbg

This will remove the mono-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mono-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mono-dbg

Or similarly, like this mono-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mono-dbg
