How To Uninstall monotone On Debian 9

To uninstall monotone just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just monotone

Distributed version (revision) control systemDebian 9.0vcs1.1-9
sudo apt-get remove monotone

This will remove just the monotone package itself.

Uninstall monotone and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove monotone

This will remove the monotone package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for monotone then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge monotone

Or similarly, like this monotone

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove monotone
