How To Uninstall msmtp-gnome On Debian 9

To uninstall msmtp-gnome just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just msmtp-gnome

light SMTP client with support for server profiles - with GNOME keyring supportDebian 9.0mail1.6.6-1
sudo apt-get remove msmtp-gnome

This will remove just the msmtp-gnome package itself.

Uninstall msmtp-gnome and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove msmtp-gnome

This will remove the msmtp-gnome package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for msmtp-gnome then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge msmtp-gnome

Or similarly, like this msmtp-gnome

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove msmtp-gnome
