How To Uninstall mtdev-tools On Debian 9

To uninstall mtdev-tools just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mtdev-tools

Multitouch Protocol Translation Library - test toolsDebian 9.0libdevel1.1.5-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove mtdev-tools

This will remove just the mtdev-tools package itself.

Uninstall mtdev-tools and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mtdev-tools

This will remove the mtdev-tools package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mtdev-tools then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mtdev-tools

Or similarly, like this mtdev-tools

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mtdev-tools
