How To Uninstall octave-gdf On Debian 9

To uninstall octave-gdf just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just octave-gdf

linuxIO library for the GDF -- Octave interfacescience0.1.2-2+b7
sudo apt-get remove octave-gdf

This will remove just the octave-gdf package itself.

Uninstall octave-gdf and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove octave-gdf

This will remove the octave-gdf package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for octave-gdf then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge octave-gdf

Or similarly, like this octave-gdf

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove octave-gdf
