How To Uninstall octave-io On Debian 9

To uninstall octave-io just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just octave-io

input/output data functions for OctaveDebian 9.0math2.4.5-1
sudo apt-get remove octave-io

This will remove just the octave-io package itself.

Uninstall octave-io and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove octave-io

This will remove the octave-io package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for octave-io then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge octave-io

Or similarly, like this octave-io

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove octave-io
