How To Uninstall octave-mapping On Debian 9

To uninstall octave-mapping just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just octave-mapping

linuxgeographical mapping functions for Octavemath1.2.1-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove octave-mapping

This will remove just the octave-mapping package itself.

Uninstall octave-mapping and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove octave-mapping

This will remove the octave-mapping package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for octave-mapping then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge octave-mapping

Or similarly, like this octave-mapping

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove octave-mapping
