How To Uninstall olpc-powerd On Debian 9

To uninstall olpc-powerd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just olpc-powerd

OLPC XO power management support daemonDebian 9.0admin23-2+b2
sudo apt-get remove olpc-powerd

This will remove just the olpc-powerd package itself.

Uninstall olpc-powerd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove olpc-powerd

This will remove the olpc-powerd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for olpc-powerd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge olpc-powerd

Or similarly, like this olpc-powerd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove olpc-powerd
