How To Uninstall openhpid On Debian 9

To uninstall openhpid just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just openhpid

linuxOpenHPI daemon, supports gathering of manageability informationadmin3.6.1-2.2
sudo apt-get remove openhpid

This will remove just the openhpid package itself.

Uninstall openhpid and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove openhpid

This will remove the openhpid package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for openhpid then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge openhpid

Or similarly, like this openhpid

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove openhpid
