How To Uninstall openni-utils On Debian 9

To uninstall openni-utils just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just openni-utils

linuxdebug and test utilities OpenNI frameworkutils1.5.4.0-14+b1
sudo apt-get remove openni-utils

This will remove just the openni-utils package itself.

Uninstall openni-utils and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove openni-utils

This will remove the openni-utils package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for openni-utils then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge openni-utils

Or similarly, like this openni-utils

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove openni-utils
