How To Uninstall openocd On Debian 9

To uninstall openocd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just openocd

linuxOpen on-chip JTAG debug solution for ARM and MIPS systemsembedded0.9.0-1+b2
sudo apt-get remove openocd

This will remove just the openocd package itself.

Uninstall openocd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove openocd

This will remove the openocd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for openocd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge openocd

Or similarly, like this openocd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove openocd
