How To Uninstall openpgp-applet On Debian 9

To uninstall openpgp-applet just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just openpgp-applet

linuxGNOME applet for OpenPGP text encryptionx111.0-1
sudo apt-get remove openpgp-applet

This will remove just the openpgp-applet package itself.

Uninstall openpgp-applet and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove openpgp-applet

This will remove the openpgp-applet package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for openpgp-applet then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge openpgp-applet

Or similarly, like this openpgp-applet

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove openpgp-applet
