How To Uninstall openssh-server On Debian 9

To uninstall openssh-server just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just openssh-server

linuxsecure shell (SSH) server, for secure access from remote machinesnet1:7.4p1-10
sudo apt-get remove openssh-server

This will remove just the openssh-server package itself.

Uninstall openssh-server and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove openssh-server

This will remove the openssh-server package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for openssh-server then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge openssh-server

Or similarly, like this openssh-server

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove openssh-server
