How To Uninstall orbit2-nameserver On Debian 9

To uninstall orbit2-nameserver just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just orbit2-nameserver

linuxhigh-performance CORBA implementation - name serverdevel1:2.14.19-2+b1
sudo apt-get remove orbit2-nameserver

This will remove just the orbit2-nameserver package itself.

Uninstall orbit2-nameserver and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove orbit2-nameserver

This will remove the orbit2-nameserver package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for orbit2-nameserver then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge orbit2-nameserver

Or similarly, like this orbit2-nameserver

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove orbit2-nameserver
