How To Uninstall orbit2 On Debian 9

To uninstall orbit2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just orbit2

high-performance CORBA implementation - Object Request BrokerDebian 9.0devel1:2.14.19-2+b1
sudo apt-get remove orbit2

This will remove just the orbit2 package itself.

Uninstall orbit2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove orbit2

This will remove the orbit2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for orbit2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge orbit2

Or similarly, like this orbit2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove orbit2
