How To Uninstall oss-preserve On Debian 9

To uninstall oss-preserve just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just oss-preserve

linuxProgram to save/restore OSS mixer settingsadmin1.1-6+b2
sudo apt-get remove oss-preserve

This will remove just the oss-preserve package itself.

Uninstall oss-preserve and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove oss-preserve

This will remove the oss-preserve package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for oss-preserve then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge oss-preserve

Or similarly, like this oss-preserve

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove oss-preserve
