How To Uninstall otcl-shells On Debian 9

To uninstall otcl-shells just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just otcl-shells

linuxOTcl shellsutils1.14+dfsg-3+b1
sudo apt-get remove otcl-shells

This will remove just the otcl-shells package itself.

Uninstall otcl-shells and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove otcl-shells

This will remove the otcl-shells package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for otcl-shells then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge otcl-shells

Or similarly, like this otcl-shells

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove otcl-shells
