How To Uninstall otf-freefont On Debian 9

To uninstall otf-freefont just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just otf-freefont

linuxtransitional dummy packageoldlibs20120503-6
sudo apt-get remove otf-freefont

This will remove just the otf-freefont package itself.

Uninstall otf-freefont and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove otf-freefont

This will remove the otf-freefont package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for otf-freefont then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge otf-freefont

Or similarly, like this otf-freefont

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove otf-freefont
