How To Uninstall python-adios On Debian 9

To uninstall python-adios just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just python-adios

linuxPython interface to the ADIOS IO systempython1.11.0-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove python-adios

This will remove just the python-adios package itself.

Uninstall python-adios and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove python-adios

This will remove the python-adios package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for python-adios then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge python-adios

Or similarly, like this python-adios

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove python-adios
