How To Uninstall python-astroquery On Debian 9

To uninstall python-astroquery just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just python-astroquery

Python online astronomical database querying (Python 2)Debian 9.0python0.3.4+dfsg-3
sudo apt-get remove python-astroquery

This will remove just the python-astroquery package itself.

Uninstall python-astroquery and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove python-astroquery

This will remove the python-astroquery package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for python-astroquery then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge python-astroquery

Or similarly, like this python-astroquery

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove python-astroquery
