How To Uninstall python-backup2swift On Debian 9

To uninstall python-backup2swift just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just python-backup2swift

linuxbackup data to OpenStack Swift - python 2.xpython0.8-1
sudo apt-get remove python-backup2swift

This will remove just the python-backup2swift package itself.

Uninstall python-backup2swift and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove python-backup2swift

This will remove the python-backup2swift package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for python-backup2swift then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge python-backup2swift

Or similarly, like this python-backup2swift

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove python-backup2swift
