How To Uninstall python-configparser On Debian 9

To uninstall python-configparser just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just python-configparser

backport of the enhanced config parser introduced in Python 3.2Debian 9.0python3.3.0r2-2
sudo apt-get remove python-configparser

This will remove just the python-configparser package itself.

Uninstall python-configparser and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove python-configparser

This will remove the python-configparser package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for python-configparser then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge python-configparser

Or similarly, like this python-configparser

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove python-configparser
