How To Uninstall python-dockerpty On Debian 9

To uninstall python-dockerpty just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just python-dockerpty

Pseudo-tty handler for docker Python client (Python 2.x)Debian 9.0python0.4.1-1
sudo apt-get remove python-dockerpty

This will remove just the python-dockerpty package itself.

Uninstall python-dockerpty and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove python-dockerpty

This will remove the python-dockerpty package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for python-dockerpty then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge python-dockerpty

Or similarly, like this python-dockerpty

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove python-dockerpty
