How To Uninstall r-base-core-dbg On Debian 9

To uninstall r-base-core-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just r-base-core-dbg

GNU R debug symbols for statistical comp. language and environmentDebian 9.0debug3.3.3-1
sudo apt-get remove r-base-core-dbg

This will remove just the r-base-core-dbg package itself.

Uninstall r-base-core-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove r-base-core-dbg

This will remove the r-base-core-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for r-base-core-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge r-base-core-dbg

Or similarly, like this r-base-core-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove r-base-core-dbg
