How To Uninstall r-bioc-ensembldb On Debian 9

To uninstall r-bioc-ensembldb just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just r-bioc-ensembldb

GNU R utilities to create and use an Ensembl based annotation databaseDebian 9.0gnu-r1.6.2-1
sudo apt-get remove r-bioc-ensembldb

This will remove just the r-bioc-ensembldb package itself.

Uninstall r-bioc-ensembldb and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove r-bioc-ensembldb

This will remove the r-bioc-ensembldb package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for r-bioc-ensembldb then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge r-bioc-ensembldb

Or similarly, like this r-bioc-ensembldb

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove r-bioc-ensembldb
