How To Uninstall r-cran-cairodevice On Debian 9

To uninstall r-cran-cairodevice just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just r-cran-cairodevice

GNU R Cairo/Gtk2 device driver packageDebian 9.0gnu-r2.23-2
sudo apt-get remove r-cran-cairodevice

This will remove just the r-cran-cairodevice package itself.

Uninstall r-cran-cairodevice and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove r-cran-cairodevice

This will remove the r-cran-cairodevice package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for r-cran-cairodevice then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge r-cran-cairodevice

Or similarly, like this r-cran-cairodevice

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove r-cran-cairodevice
