How To Uninstall r-cran-multicore On Debian 9

To uninstall r-cran-multicore just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just r-cran-multicore

GNU R parallel processing on multi-core or multi-cpu machinesDebian 9.0gnu-r0.2-1
sudo apt-get remove r-cran-multicore

This will remove just the r-cran-multicore package itself.

Uninstall r-cran-multicore and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove r-cran-multicore

This will remove the r-cran-multicore package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for r-cran-multicore then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge r-cran-multicore

Or similarly, like this r-cran-multicore

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove r-cran-multicore
