How To Uninstall r-cran-ncdf4 On Debian 9

To uninstall r-cran-ncdf4 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just r-cran-ncdf4

GNU R interface to Unidata netCDF format data filesDebian 9.0gnu-r1.15-1+b2
sudo apt-get remove r-cran-ncdf4

This will remove just the r-cran-ncdf4 package itself.

Uninstall r-cran-ncdf4 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove r-cran-ncdf4

This will remove the r-cran-ncdf4 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for r-cran-ncdf4 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge r-cran-ncdf4

Or similarly, like this r-cran-ncdf4

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove r-cran-ncdf4
