How To Uninstall r-cran-plyr On Debian 9

To uninstall r-cran-plyr just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just r-cran-plyr

tools for splitting, applying and combining dataDebian 9.0gnu-r1.8.4-1
sudo apt-get remove r-cran-plyr

This will remove just the r-cran-plyr package itself.

Uninstall r-cran-plyr and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove r-cran-plyr

This will remove the r-cran-plyr package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for r-cran-plyr then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge r-cran-plyr

Or similarly, like this r-cran-plyr

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove r-cran-plyr
