How To Uninstall radeontool On Debian 9

To uninstall radeontool just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just radeontool

utility to control ATI Radeon backlight functions on laptopsDebian 9.0utils1.6.3-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove radeontool

This will remove just the radeontool package itself.

Uninstall radeontool and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove radeontool

This will remove the radeontool package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for radeontool then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge radeontool

Or similarly, like this radeontool

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove radeontool
