How To Uninstall ratpoison On Debian 9

To uninstall ratpoison just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ratpoison

keyboard-only window managerDebian 9.0x111.4.8-2+b1
sudo apt-get remove ratpoison

This will remove just the ratpoison package itself.

Uninstall ratpoison and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ratpoison

This will remove the ratpoison package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ratpoison then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ratpoison

Or similarly, like this ratpoison

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ratpoison
