How To Uninstall rclone On Debian 9

To uninstall rclone just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just rclone

rsync for commercial cloud storageDebian 9.0net1.35-1+b3
sudo apt-get remove rclone

This will remove just the rclone package itself.

Uninstall rclone and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove rclone

This will remove the rclone package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for rclone then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge rclone

Or similarly, like this rclone

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove rclone
