How To Uninstall rcs On Debian 9

To uninstall rcs just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just rcs

The GNU Revision Control SystemDebian 9.0vcs5.9.4-3
sudo apt-get remove rcs

This will remove just the rcs package itself.

Uninstall rcs and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove rcs

This will remove the rcs package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for rcs then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge rcs

Or similarly, like this rcs

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove rcs
